JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION:   Services Director

SUPERVISORS:  Executive Director

GENERAL SUMMARY

Manage the delivery and coordination of all services for disAbility Connections including CORE, gap, and contractual/fee for services.  Direct and supervise service staff for quality assurance and data entry protocol.  Maintain knowledge of current I&R resources.  Provide in-depth information, referral and resource assistance to people with disabilities, their families and/or other agencies.  Network, build and develop effective collaborative and working relationships with other organizations and agencies.  Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication as well as good computer skills.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education and Training Required:  Bachelor’s Degree required in human services and/or social work-related field of study.  Personal experience with disability and/or knowledge of disability issues and the consumer/community-based IL philosophy.  Three years in project or services management with three years experience in supervision.  Must possess excellent communication skills and computer and word processing skills.  Must be detailed oriented.
  1. Must have the ability to relate effectively with a wide variety of people, including coworkers, customers, volunteers, and agency representatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • ·         Direct and supervise delivery of all services including: Federal mandated services –Information and Referral, Independent Living Services, Pre-Employment Training Services, Employment Navigator, Peer Services, Youth Leadership and Advocacy Program, Transition (both Youth and Facility), Makerspace, JCISD and any other services. Ensure the delivery of all Federally mandated services
  • Provide monthly, agreed upon evaluations/reports.  Work in conjunction with the Operations Director to review data and outcomes to guide Executive Director in program needs and outcomes.
  • ·         Assess program progress according to referral source requirements.
  • Discuss caseloads with staff on a regular basis.
  • Assist and coordinate staff planning for program recruiting and seasonal start up.
  • Review curriculum for each program and discuss usage with staff.
  • Monitor staff entry for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Review staff case files for completeness and provide technical assistance to staff in this area.  Be familiar with Federal reporting standards for services. Develop and monitor internal policies and procedures to assure compliance with State and Federal indicators and requirements.
  • Create necessary program documents in conjunction with supervisor as needed.
  • Provide services in accordance with requirements of grants, service agreements, and memorandum of understanding.
  • Evaluate staff performance and make recommendations to the Executive Director regarding promotions, salary and training needs.
  • Network, build and develop effective collaborative and working relationships between dC and other private, public, health, and other community organizations and agencies.
  • Provide in-depth information and referral support services to people with disabilities and their families and/or agencies.  Keep abreast of current I&R resources.
  • Work with Operations Director to carry out facility assistance as necessary.
  • Completes and maintains all Consumer Services Records in compliance with the Federal Quality Assurance Standards and Indicators in the required data collection tools.
  • ·         Willingness and ability to physically assist with ramp builds.
  • ·         Review all timesheets for supervised employees.
  • Travel required within the regional service area of disAbility Connections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • ·         Models integrity, personal and professional ethics and maintains confidential consumer information in adherence to applicable HIPAA guidelines.
  • ·         Maintains a neat and orderly office.
  • ·         Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative, and follow through as required for the effective delivery of dC services.
  • ·         Meet outcomes listed in the Fiscal Year Work Plan as outlined in the disAbility Connections Performance Evaluation.

  • Complete Motivational Interviewing Training

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Works in office conditions and travels throughout the community on activities related to disAbility Connections, Inc.

This is an exempt; full-time position at 40 hours per week.  This means the position may require more than 40 hours per work at times.

Pay range:  $55, 000 to $60,000 based on experience and skills.
